Typical 1930s modernist chair attributed to Dutch designer Bas van Pelt, most likely produced in the 1940s or 1950s.

The chair is in very good condition, where all the woodwork has been completely checked and refinished. The seat cushion has also been renewed and is ready to be upholstered as desired. All webbing is good.

Van Pelt was an Dutch innovative designer, whose designs were very much related to the Amsterdam School and the Bauhaus.
