Beautiful Dutch dining set manufactured by L.O.V. in the mid-1920s.
It was innovator Gerrit Pelt who founded L.O.V. in 1910. He wanted to manufacture furniture that was modern, stylish and good for everyday use. But most importantly, he wanted to restore the craft of furniture making, just like William Morris in the UK, who started the “Arts and Crafts Movement”.
Many other important designers worked for L.O.V. Like J.A. Muntendam, A.H. Jansen, C. Alons and of course Gerrit Pelt himself. This set is designed by A.H. Jansen. It’s signed with the company logo.
The table is extendable so three sizes are possible. All pieces are fully checked and fully restored but the cushions need to be reupholstered. Made of solid stained oak.
H x w x d = 75 x 127-176-225 x 70 cm / 29.5 x 50-69.3-88.6 x 27.6 inch.
