XL flush mount, designed and produced by luxury manufacturer J.T. Kalmar in the 1970s.
Kalmar is an Austrian company, founded in Vienna in 1881. In the beginning they produced chandeliers and cast bronze objects, but in the 1930s they exclusively produced high-quality lighting fixtures. And they still do. They have always had partnerships with influential organizations, such as the Vienna Secession and, more recently, the RMS Queen Mary 2 in 2003.
This ceiling lamp is made of brass and crystal glass and is in very good condition, with signs of wear consistent with age and use. It has 13 bulbs and is signed with the company sticker.
