Extra large extendable table designed by the Finnish designer Alvar Aalto for Artek.
The table is made of birch wood with the table top made of the very special ‘flamed’ wood veneer. As you can see the table has the famous L-legs that gave Aalto so much recognition. The table is in nearly mint condition with only minimal signs of use. There is one little veneer damage on one of the corners. See the photo. The two extra leaves are stored under the main top.
It’s a design of the 1930s but I think this table dates from the 1950s or 1960s. I assume that it’s model H94 but I’m not sure about this. Information about it is very hard to find. Signed with the Artek factory stamp.
