Fantastic set of 4 ‘SB02’ dining chairs with matching table, designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe.
Wow, what a beautiful set this is! Not only the design and use of materials is great (beech and teak), but especially the age, colour and patina is incredibly beautiful here. Every once in a while, something that has aged so beautifully passes your way. Likewise with this set. Everything here, down to the old screws used in the back, is beautiful.
This series was designed in 1954 and I dare say that this is a very early set. We cleaned and fed the set but we stayed away from the wear. All chairs and table are strong, patina corresponding with age and use.
But…don’t buy it if you don’t like age-related imperfections. But if you do like it, now is your chance!! And I sincerely mean this.
