4,650.00

Great lamp designed by Angelo Lelli in 1947.

Lelli founded Arredoluce in the year 1947 after some of his lamps were published in the ‘Domus’ magazines founded by Gio Ponti. Arredoluce started out as an innovative Italian lighting company and got great influence in the post-war era. Many other iconic designers worked for Arredoluce including Gio Ponti, Ettore Sottsass and Achille and Pier Castiglioni.

This counterweight pendant is adjustable in height and was repainted by the previous owners, who took great care maintaining the original colour. It is in very good condition with signs of wear consistent with age and use on the brass. The lamp is rewired and signed ‘Made In Italy’.

Bibliography: Anty Pansera, Alessandro Paddan, Alessandro Palmaghini, “Arredoluce – Catalogo Ragionato 1943-1987”, 2018, p 114.

H x W x D = +- 115 x 47 x 47 cm/ +- 45.3 x 18.5 x 18.5 inch
