Lamp Model “DD 40” by Louis Kalff for Philips, 1950’s

1,100.00

This lamp, which looks like a flying saucer, was designed by Louis Kalff for Philips in the early 1950s.

It strongly represents the beautiful designs of this decade, with the typical terms such as ‘science’, ‘progress’ and ‘renewed freedom’ all palpable here.

The lamp has a metal shade in very good original condition with just a little normal wear and tear. The three uplighters and one downlighter are all E27 fittings and the lamp is signed with a company sticker.

H x Diameter = 20 x 55 cm / 7.9 x 21.7 inch.
