Two very cool chairs designed by W.H.Gispen for the Dutch company KEMBO. The chairs are from the ‘innovative’ 1950s and they show that all over.
The chairs are still in it’s original condition, which means that the slim steel frames has patina corresponding to their age. To present the chairs, I only cleaned them and polished the frames with metal polish. As a purist, I just couldn’t change the original 1950s aura of them. It is rare to find chairs of that age still with a beautiful patina like that… Are you with me?
I did put new caps on the legs and also replaced some screws. The skai leather of the seats and backrests are still in very good condition. And they are large, so you have a remarkable comfort and support.
Price is for the set.
