Pyramid shaped flushmount designed and made by luxury manufacturer J.T.Kalmar.
Kalmar is an Austrian company founded in Vienna in 1881. In the beginning they produced chandeliers and cast bronze objects, but by the time the 1930s came they only produced high quality lighting fixtures. And this is what they still do. They always had partnerships with influential organizations, for example the Vienna Secession and more recently RMS Queen Mary 2 in 2003
This flusmount is made of brass and milk glass, and is in very good condition with wear and tear corresponding with age and use. One glass is chipped, but nothing more than a ‘flea bite’. See the photo. It has 4 light bulbs, and is signed with the company sticker. Note: the lamp is perfectly horizontal but I didn’t saw that one glass was a bit shifted while taking the photo’s.
