This 1950’s chair, fauteuil no. 302, is designed by one of the biggest names in Dutch mid-century design, W.H.Gispen. He designed this chair for the Dutch company KEMBO and it came in two sizes. This is the big size. Working with solid steel he was able to create a very slim structure causing the idea he got his inspiration from nature, more specifically the insect world.
This chair is reupholstered in a black fabric and repainted with RAL 9005 Satin. It had to because the chair was unfortunately in a too bad condition.
