Beautiful and extremely rare double decker sideboard designed by female designer Florence Knoll. She designed a series of these sideboards in the early 1950s which were produced until the late 70s early 80s. No longer produced today.
It was the high-end Belgian furniture manufacturer ‘De Coene frères’ who produced the Knoll furniture for the Benelux and other countries around. Their attitude and machine park could realize the high quality Knoll was searching for. Thats why the stamp on the back says ‘Fabriqué en Belgique’.
This sideboard is made of wallnut and was available in a variety of woods. The sliding doors has saddle leather pulls and the legs are made of black painted steel. The cabinet is in very good vintage condition with normal wear and tear and some minor damages. It is signed with the old logo and has always served in a Belgian castle.
