Very solid coffee table with a strong and basic architecture. The table is designed by the Danish artist designer Tue Poulsen for Haslev Mobelsnedkeri, a Danish manufacturer.
The table was made in the 1960s with handmade ceramic tiles and a solid oak base. For me, these strong and ‘earthy’ materials give the table a beautiful organic and somewhat brutalist look. Wouldn’t it be nice if this table could find its home in a mountainous environment? With snow all around?
Interestingly, this table refers to mechanics, as you can see from the tiles with ladders and gears.
The table is in very good condition and all tiles are good. No unnatural damage.
