Rare and original Gerrit Rietveld “tz77” coffee table for ‘t Spectrum, 1968.
This table is a beautiful example of a typical Rietveld design due to its “simplicity”, use of straight lines, and extremely modern architecture.
During the WW II years, Gerrit Rietveld was appointed to the collection assessment committee of ‘t Spectrum. Here he designed various pieces of furniture for the company.
Just like this coffee table. Although it was designed in the 1950s, it didn’t go into production until 1968. It was only produced between 1968 and 1970. It came in three sizes where this is the biggest one.
The table is refinished and in a very good condition. Just an absolute minimal of wear and tear. Signed with the comapany sticker.
H x W x D = 34 x 112 x 84 cm / 13.4 x 44.1 x 33.1 inch
