Bottle vase no. 60219 designed by Dutch designer Floris Meydam for ‘Glasfabriek Leerdam’.

The vase was designed in 1953 as a serica, which means that it is not a unique piece, nor is it a mass produced object. Meydam used sleek and simple, industrial shapes for this series, which, in combination with the beautiful colours of the glass, resulted in a very decorative object. The vase was intended as a showpiece.

The vase consists of opaline glass fused with blue glass and does not come from a mould. So each bottle of this series is a little different. This vase is a bit rounder than the other no. 60219 vase presented on the website.

H x Diameter = 45 x 11.5 cm / 17.7 x 4.5 inch.
