1930s ‘Bauhaus’ Pendant attr. to Elmar Berkovich

2,250.00

Very rare lamp from the Dutch pre-war period of modernism. The lamp dates from the 1930s and is attributed to Elmar Berkovich.

Although Berkovich is not known to many people, he was a very famous and important designer in his time. This is evident from his collaborations and friendships with designers such as Gerrit Rietveld, Mart Stam and Marcel Breuer.

The lamp still has the original frosted glass etc. and is in very good condition. The chrome is patinated, which doesn’t bother me. This is not really visible in reality, so let’s keep it ‘untouched’.

H x Diameter = 78 x 50 cm / 30.7 x 19.7 inch
