Beautiful and rare sputnik ceiling lamp.
The lamp is probably from the 1960s and is fully chromed. The designer and manufacturer are unfortunately unknown to me, but if I had to guess the origin I would say Italian. The lamp comes from a Belgian monastery.
The lamp is very nicely constructed. No arm is the same length, and space with all its stars and planets floating around the earth is tangible. I think there is something very human about this lamp and I can understand that it hung in a monastery. The lamp is working and still in very good condition. The chrome has virtually no wear.
